Steve Spurrier’s been renowned for his offensive genius throughout his coaching career. Should he build a capable attack in the SEC this season around Pharoh Cooper, it will be the Head Ball Coach’s most impressive work yet. Cooper was pretty much the show as South Carolina escaped Charlotte with a 17-13 win over North Carolina […]
‘Tis the season, my friends. The eager anticipation is almost at a conclusion with opening night of the 2015 FBS football season almost upon us. The 2015 campaign opened with a bang last Saturday, as Montana scored a touchdown in the final seconds to upend four-time defending national champion North Dakota State. The Championship Subdivision […]
While Les Miles works the recruiting trail and prepares for LSU’s next football season, Les Miles’ son, Manny, hit the recruiting trail on his own behalf. Manny Miles told Robin Fambrough of The Advocate he is committing to Larry Fedora and the North Carolina Tar Heels as a preferred walk-on, making the choice after a […]
Two high-profile arrests marred a weekend rife with spring games. UCLA’s 5-star running back prospect Soso Jamabo is not yet on campus, and his arrest on multiple charges early Sunday could prevent the highly coveted Texas blue-chipper from ever making it to Westwood. The Dallas Morning News reports Soso Jamabo drove with “total disregard for […]

In that score — 71-39 — all the frustrations of a program playing in a half-empty arena, competing as much […]
The last Saturday of October is almost complete, and the ACC Coastal championship race is no more clear now than it was in the summer.
The debate over which is the best college football conference takes fans to some ridiculous places. Honks for certain conferences tout such mind-numbing things as television revenue to declare their league’s superiority.
Bovada released its college football futures for conference and divisional odds on Tuesday, and are plenty of sleepers and surprises.
Certainly, other divisions in other conferences around college football are deeper and more top-heavy than the ACC Coastal. At best, the division will have one team crack the preseason Top 25-barely, if at all. But no division promises the same kind of top-to-bottom unpredictably heading into the 2014 as the ACC Coastal.
