Week 10 Saturday Six-Pack: Alabama-LSU Headlines Stellar Slate

Week 10 features arguably the best, top-to-bottom slate of any one college football Saturday yet this season, with College Football Playoff preliminary Top 4 showdown Alabama-LSU headlining.

Not that the nighttime tussle in Tuscaloosa needed any additional stakes. LSU controls its destiny in the SEC West, while Alabama has been surging since losing to Ole Miss in September. A Crimson Tide loss effectively eliminates them from conference title contention.

Add the backdrop of real, tangible Playoff positioning, and Alabama-LSU takes on explicitly significance nationally, which would have been implicit otherwise.

Before the prime-time kickoff, a loaded menu offers several delicious appetizers ahead of Alabama-LSU.

The ACC Coastal race takes a pivotal turn when longtime rivals (albeit in another sport) meet; the Playoff hopes of the Group of Five’s strongest candidate are on the line against a divisional rival; No. 1 faces its stiffest test of the season; and two Big 12 undefeated teams clash to kick off that conference’s wild month.

WEEK 10 SIX-PACK: STONE RUINATION

November always means a championship-aspiring team has its dreams ruined. A beer named Ruination seems fitting to welcome college football’s stretch run, and the double IPA is a nod to the annual CBS double-twin Alabama-LSU headlines. Ole Miss-Arkansas doesn’t appear in the Six-Pack, though has some far-reaching implications on the SEC, and thus Playoff title chase.

Tread lightly with Ruination. Though quite hoppy, it’s smooth. This isn’t an uptempo offense drink, though. You’ll want to grind out the clock and nurse your possession.

Like this football jargon? No? Better this than a pompous review on a beer site though, right?
