USC’s Adoree Jackson is a man of many talents. The junior Trojan has played, and excelled, in all three phases for the football team, won a Pac-12 championship for the track program, and honed his skills in the kitchen.
The next platform for Adoree Jackson to conquer may be TV — at least, if he had his way.
Following USC’s practice Monday at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, Jackson touted his bona fides as a contestant on a future season of ABC’s The Bachelorette.
“They need to put me on the show next. I feel like I probably…” Jackson corrected himself mid-sentence. “Not probably. I would win.”
Difficult to argue, considering Jackson wins in just about every other avenue he pursues. Why not in entertainment?
He has a camera-ready style and a deadpan sense of humor sure to differentiate himself from other would-be Bachelorette suitors.
The reality series’ casting directors have demonstrated a recent proclivity for big-time college football connections. Two of the show’s last three winners include Josh Murray, brother of former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Aaron, and former Vanderbilt quarterback Jordan Rodgers.
“Jordan was a football player. I couldn’t knock that,” Jackson said of Rodgers, the 2016 winner who parlayed his appearance into a gig with ESPN’s SEC Network. USC’s standout cornerback and return man added, however, that loose cannon Chad was his pick.
Chad’s ouster from Bachelor in Paradise lost the show a viewer in Jackson.
The brief, alcohol-soaked appearance of Chad on Bachelor in Paradise might be at an end, but the campaign to add Adoree Jackson to The Bachelorette should only just be beginning.
Adding a true college football star the caliber of Adoree Jackson to the mix only solidifies the show’s growing, crossover fan base. What’s more, the USC junior promises to “make the show real entertainment” and “get some [viewership] up.”
