TREY HENDRICKSON, DE, FAU

Few pass-rushers anywhere in college football were as disruptive last season as FAU’s Trey Hendrickson. In fact, only Penn State All-American Carl Nassib was better statistically.

Hendrickson finished second nationally to Nassib in both sacks (15.5 to 13) and fumbles forced (6 to 5). His 2015 sack total is the best in FAU history, and he set the program’s career mark in 2015 as well.

Hendrickson didn’t break out in his record-setting season until near the midway point. But once he got rolling in an Owl win over Charlotte, the flood gate opened.

FAU head coach Charlie Partridge told OwlAllAccess.com:

“He’s starting to have some second-level conversations about what he’s seeing from the O-lineman in front of him, using this pass rush to set up that pass rush,” Partridge said. “That’s some next level stuff.”

Arguably his best game came against FAU’s stiffest competition. Hendrickson was dominant in the Owls’ overtime loss against SEC East champion Florida in November.
