Favian Upshaw, QB, Georgia Southern

Favian Upshaw delivered the bowl season’s first jaw-dropping, individual performance, leading Georgia Southern’s second-half deluge of Bowling Green. The Eagles’ secondary quarterback shared snaps with Kevin Ellison, but Upshaw upstaged his teammate with 199 yards rushing and four touchdowns.
“Favian did a great job reading the zone option; his reads were great,” interim head coach Dell McGee said via GSEagles.com.
That’s an understatement. Bowling Green’s defense had no answer for the explosive Upshaw, who averaged a ridiculous 16.6 yards per carry.
