It’s probably for the best that the Heisman Trust doesn’t award its coveted trophy after Week 1. If social media taught me nothing else, it’s that about 15 players could win the Heisman in early September.
Bearing that in mind, the CFB Huddle Heisman Top 10 projection through one week will probably be the most difficult to put together.
Preseason favorites who didn’t exactly wow are quickly overshadowed. However, the sample size for someone like TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin is worth considerably more than a first-time player.
Heisman hype after Week 1 is more boisterous for, say, Josh Rosen than it is Boykin. Body of work factors into these projections, however, and the early season guarantees a ton of fluidity.
