A reality of Georgia’s offense was abundantly clear in a hard-fought win over Vanderbilt. Nick Chubb’s overall statistics will take a hit from sharing touches with other Bulldogs.

To wit, Chubb went scoreless Saturday, while Sony Michel and surprisingly, quarterback Greyson Lambert, each ran for touchdowns.

However, if Chubb continues rolling up 189-yard games to buoy his fellow Bulldogs, the Georgia sophomore’s Heisman candidacy will be just fine.

1. Derrick Henry, RB, Alabama

Derrick Henry is averaging a touchdown run every five carries. That’s pretty much all that needs to be said about the Alabama running back leading the Heisman Top 10 through Week 2, but I’ll write it a second time in case it didn’t resonate.

He went off for another three-score game in the Crimson Tide’s rout of MTSU. Now, the spotlight is going to intensify dramatically.

Alabama hosts Ole Miss in a rematch of the Tide’s sole regular-season loss of 2014. The Rebels’ stout defensive front held Henry to just 2.2 yards per carry in last season’s upset win.
